We spent a few days thinking about finishing it, but both our schedules got hectic. Finally, we finished it! We added icing icicles on the roof and even put in cotton for the chimney smoke! It was lots of fun, and I think any traditions that stem from this activity will always involve a gingerbread house kit. :-)
David and Emily met in 2003 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. They were missionaries, and very good ones at that! He was her district leader for six weeks, and then they parted ways. After the mission, they kept in touch through email and the yearly mission reunion. However, nothing much happened until a mutual mission friend started bugging them to date each other. On October 18, 2008, David asked Emily to go to the movies with him. And the rest is history!

Gingerbread Houses!
David & I took a night to start a gingerbread house. Unfortunately, we weren't as successful as we'd like. A corner of the roof broke off, and then the whole side of it slid off a bit later.

We spent a few days thinking about finishing it, but both our schedules got hectic. Finally, we finished it! We added icing icicles on the roof and even put in cotton for the chimney smoke! It was lots of fun, and I think any traditions that stem from this activity will always involve a gingerbread house kit. :-)
